>TL;DR~

•Pros-

1)Really Small and Compact.

2)Comfortable for long listening.

3)Safe V-Shaped Tuning.

•Cons-

1)Stock Cable and Eartips are Worse.

2)Not Quite Exciting of a Sound Signature.

3)Too Safe of a Tuning.

>Design~

It’s a Really really small and comfortable masterpiece of a design,imo the silver look like the expensive big brother ie600 or the ie900 and you can easily wear this for long long hours without any fatigue or discomfort.

>Devices Used~

1)Ibasso DX160 DAP.

2)IPhone 13 (with Lighting Dongle DAC)

3)IPad Pro 4th Gen (with my DAP as DAC and Apple Type-c Dongle)

>Sound~

It is a V-Shaped or Bassy Tuning.

 

1)High’s-

Highs never sounded fatigue in or sibilant despite of the V-shaped tuning and the treble is well extended and controlled compared to the kz’s of the world.

2)Mid’s-

Vocals are clean and a bit recessed but recessed enough to sound dark or muddy ,Male vocals and Female vocals have enough depth as of a single dynamic driver.

3)Low’s-

The bass improves when you do a tape mod or use different tips which covers the slit intentionally created on the iem for a so called neutral performance but guys that is bad and sucks .After the following mod the bass is good and thumpy and it is a taste of the giant ie600 and temptation to sell your FD and get the ie600.

Amazing small fit and the German architecture taste you get for the price and objectively a great V-Shaped tuning to go for.Not the Wow factor you would expect but the slow brain burn-in is real.

GK Kunten VS Truthear Gate : Detailed Comparison

 >Price~

GK Kunten: 1029₹ or 11$ 

Truthear Gate: 1899₹ or 20$

>Design and Build Quality~

The Kuntens feels more Premium and Nicely Built and Sturdy as of it front Metal Plate Built than the whole Resin Body of Gates.

The Gates are more comfortable to wear for long hours than Kuntens because of its rather small size than the Kuntens.

>Accessories~

GK Kunten are Rather Weak in their accessories game as it comes with a very cheap and generic KZ cable as being its sub-brand and Cheap ,Uncomfortable Eartips and no Storage Pouch/Case ,whereas the Gate comes with a Premium Cable (the best part of the package) and a decent selection of Eartips (Wide Bore and Narrow Bore) and last but not least a Magnetic Clasp Pouch.

>Tuning~

GK Kunten: V-shaped with Midrange Focus.

Truthear Gate: Neutral/Bright Tuning.

>Sound~

The Kunten’s are definitely a Mainstream Audience Pleaser,the V-Shaped Tuning and the bass thump will please any Beginner whereas The Gate’s are For the one’s who want to feel their music and feel like they are playing in the same room as them

Lows:If you want to hear the thuds and thumps definitely prefer kuntens over gate because you won’t get the slamp of bass on gates.

Mids:This is where the Gates easily beats the kuntens ,there’s a definite clarity and focus on vocals.

Highs:Here too Kuntens are easily beaten by the Gates as there is more staging and air present in the gates as compared to the kuntens and you the hear the guitar strings played in any song very clearly separated.

>Conclusion~

Consider Kuntens if you want the same mainstream tuning of any tws/wireless earbuds but more refined, whereas Consider Gates if you want to experience a different tuning than you’re traditional V-shape and want to see how mid-range and good treble tuning sounds like.

5)DAP Provides Expandable Storage (i.e. SD Cards) so you can have lots of Songs. 

Not Everything Have Pros,it has it Cons too.

CONs:-

1)Carrying Another Device with you.

2)Worrying about Charging Another Device Daily.

3)Some DAPs can be Big and Bulky.

4)Going Down the Rabbit Of Needing to Upgrade or Wanting Of Something more Powerful.

Truthear Gate Review.

1)Excellent Vocals and Sounstage.

2)Comfortable for long listening.

•Cons-

1)Need to Listen at High Volume (may cause fatigue)

2)Not for Strong Bass Lovers.

>Price/Variant~

Black with no-mic variant at ₹1899/$20

>Design~

The Whole Housing is a Solid Resin Build and the Main Event is the Cable definitely premium for ₹1899/$20 ,the Stock Eartips are Good but I used aftermarket Tips (Audiocular Spinfits and Liquid tips).

The Shell size and shape are comparatively medium fitting and for my ears they are comfortable.

>Devices Used~

2)IPhone 13 (with Lighting Dongle DAC)

3)IPad Pro 4th Gen (with my DAP as DAC)

>Sound~

Not a V-Shaped or Bassy Tuning. It Leans on Giving you the Feel of music like playing with you.

The Vocals and Instruments are their Home-Ground.

Other Users Complained of it being Sibilant but I listened it at 50-60% Volume and there was no Sibilance.  

1)High’s-

You can feel the instruments playing in their place like the guitars and all the high frequencies are very clear.It is not sibilant at all in my hearing impression.

2)Mid’s-

Female Vocals are Definitely the highlight of these tuning and Male Vocals are bassy i.e, they don’t feel as defined as female vocals.

3)Low’s-

There is a bit of thump and kick when you listen to bassy songs of Travis Scott but this IEM is not for the bass lovers ,look for any other V-Shaped tuning (like the cheaper GK Kunten).

>Comparison~

Vs GK Kunten-

The Kunten’s are definitely a Mainstream Audience Pleaser,the V-Shaped Tuning and the bass thump will please any Beginner whereas The Gate’s are For the one’s who want to feel their music and feel like they are playing in the same room as them and Enjoy the intricate details.
